Director of Operations

The Role

Ctrl runs missions — every week, across provinces, in conditions that punish sloppy logistics. Operations is the machine that makes that repeatable.

As Director of Operations you'll own mission delivery end to end: crew scheduling, fleet readiness, safety compliance, client success, and the unit economics of every flight. You'll turn a high-performing field team into a scalable national operation.

What You'll Do

• Own mission delivery: scheduling, dispatch, logistics, and on-time data handoff.
• Build and manage the operator team — hiring, training, certification, and performance.
• Own the safety management system: SOPs, JSEAs, audits, and Transport Canada compliance.
• Drive fleet readiness — maintenance programs, spares, and AirBase node uptime.
• Manage operational P&L: mission costing, utilization, and margin per service line.
• Be the escalation point for clients when conditions, airspace, or timelines shift.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years in operations leadership — aviation, drones, field services, or energy preferred.
• Experience scaling field teams and multi-site logistics.
• Working knowledge of Canadian RPAS regulations and industrial safety frameworks.
• Analytical operator: you run the business on numbers, not vibes.
• Calm under pressure and decisive with incomplete information.
• Willingness to travel to sites and deployments regularly.
